Death Valley Photo Workshop - March 2010
I went on my fourth photography workshop with the Friends of Arizona Highways in March. The venue for this workshop was mostly Death Valley with a day spent in the Alabama Hills by Lone Pine, California and another day at Mono Lake. I had shot the Alabama Hills and Mono Lake before but not in the winter. Needless to say it was cold!

Several of the sites in Death Valley were closed off due to mud from the recent rains. None the less we were able to photograph in Badwater, the Mesquite Flats sand dunes, the Race Track (which was a real treat), Salt Creek, Mosaic Canyon and Zabriskie point.

On our way back to Las Vegas, we stopped at the Rhyolite Ghost Town in Nevada. It was no where near as well preserved or as extensive as Bodie but it was open.
