When we're not traveling, we tend to go down to our beach house in Cayucos on the central coast, about every two to three weeks. We enjoy the quiet of the central coast, hosting friends at our home there and visiting with our oldest daughter and her husband who live close by.

There are many delightful attractions within 30 minutes of the house: Hearst Castle, William Randolph Hearst's mansion at San Simeon, is 25 miles away. Five miles beyond that is Piedras Blancas, a location where hundreds of elephant seals call home. To the south of us is Morro Bay and beyond that is Montana De Oro State Park, a great place to hike along the cliffs and look out for whales. Couple these with the hundred plus wineries in the area and you have the making for a very good time. Come on down!
