Cholla Cactus Garden
I decided to leave home a day early and spent the night near Joshua Tree so I could photograph the park in the evening light.
The northwest section of the park is where all the interesting features are. Here there are rock formations and stands of Joshua Trees.

These rocks look like two aliens bucking heads
The first stop I made I saw a tree in bloom right above a bright blue tent. Blue tent, blue sky and a Joshua in bloom, I knew I could do better.
I walked all around the Hidden Valley area and could not find another tree in bloom.
