We've been trying for some time to get together with two other couples whom we had traveled with before. We agreed on a date and place convenient to all of us. We chose New Orleans. Neither of us had been there for any length of time after hurricane Katrina and thought it would be fun to help out the local economy and enjoy some great cooking.Tam and I drove as we combined this trip with a yearly trip to visit family in the area. We spent five nights in New Orleans and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We even took time to venture out and visit some of the plantations in the area.
