Clayton and I took a morning and went off taking pictures and trying out all sorts of lenses. We went to the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site. This is the site of the Battle of San Jacinto that brought Texas its independence by defeating the Mexican army in 1836. Prominant on the site is the San Jacinto monument pictured here.
