With a population of around 120,000, Punta Arenas is the southern most city in Chile. They like to say it's also the souther most "City" in the world but with this argument comes the debate of city vs town as the Argentine Town of Ushuaia is further south. Puerto Arenas is on the Straits of Magellan and is the gateway for excursions to Patagonia. We took a plane to Puerto Natalas for our excursion to Torres del Paine (pronounce Pie Knee) National Park.
