Dead Horse Point

This narrow promintory used to be a place to which cowboys drove wild horses to and then fenced off the entrance. They horses would stay corraled until they were sold. At one point in time, the remaining horses were forgotten and died in the Summer heat, which will reach into the 100's. Hence the name.
