We visited two ports in Isreal, Haifa and Ashdod, and spent two full days touring the country. This is by no means enough time to appreciate the historic sites. The drive out to the Galilee from Haifa was two hours and that same was true for the drive out to Bethelem and Jerusalem from the port of Ashdod.
Once you get to the site, you'll be there with 20 other tour buses. You just can't appreciate what you are seeing. None-the-less, it was an area we have been wanting to visit for some time and we're hppy we did.
