| After our experience at the south end of Fallen Leaf Lake, we decided to try the trail at the north end of the lake, the Mount Tallac Trail. The trail goes up to the peak at 9,700 feet. We knew we could not go anywhere near that altitude at this time of the year but decide to see how far we could go. As it turns out, we went about 2.5 mile in before we lost the trail in snow. | |||||
