My niece, Monelle, was celebrating her 50th birthday and wanted to do so in a special way. She decided to have a party in Paris and have a few friends and family come over for the event. Well the word got out. What initially was expected to be about a dozen people having a good time, it turned out that 34 people would travel from as far away as Hong Kong to celebrade Monelle's birthday. Tam and I of course wouldn't miss it and took the opportunity to take in a few days in Paris and then venture off to Normandy and to Giverney to visit Monet's house and gardens. This was what we called a sampler as we didn't have much time to delve into the museums and the various sites in Paris. Tamara is coming back after the first of the year to celebrate her 60th birthday with a girl friend whose also turning 60.
