The Palais du Luxembourg

It is now home to the French Senate. Like many building in Paris, this has had a varried past. It was originally designed for Marie de Medicis, the widow of Henery IV. During the revolution it was used as a prison and during World War II it was used as the headquarters of the Luftwaffe. The gardens on the grounds are just beautiful.
