The back view of the Heb-Sed complex. The Heb-Sed is an ancient Egyptian religious festival celebrated by the king after 30 years of reign and every 3 years thereafter. It is assumed that the festival involved a reenactment of the unification of Egypt, as well as to prove the continued ability of the king to rule, even after his long reign.
