On our first night in Cairo, Tam and I walked from the Four Seasons (tower on the left) to the bridge seen in the picture above, down along the Nile and then across the bridge from where this picture was taken, the Abbas bridge and then back to the hotel. All along the way we got stares from other pedestrians and people in their car. It wasn't until half way through the walk that Tam realized her hair was uncovered and she was wearing a sleeveless blouse. We were also the only Westerners on our walk.
