On the afternoon of our first day of shooting, we photographed a group of kayakers on the Animas River which flows through the center of Durango. This was qite a bit of fun though challenging as we were shooting into the late afternoon sun. This was the first time that I was shooting in "RAW" rather then JPEG. In hindsight this was great as I could do much more to enhance the pictures. However, I was (and still am) new to RAW processing so I'm still learning and the process is slow and painfull.

These folks were great and were headed to represent the US in the Olympics.
