After Montmorency Falls we drove a few miles further up the St Lawrence to visit the Basilica Saint-Anne-de-Beaupre. This church is one of Canada's most sacred. It was originally built in the 1650s by sailors who vowed to build the church after surviving a ship wreck. The current church was built in the 1920s.
