That evening we were treated to a traditional Maori "hangi". Little did I know that I would be part of the entertainment. The local Maori chief was to select a poor soul to be the honorary chief for the evening. Well he made a bee-line for me, even though I was hidden behind two taller gentlemen. What a set-up!
