On our way to Oban we punctured a tire requiring us to be "retrieved". All of us piled in this van with all our luggage to the hotel.
Our first night out of Glasgow was spent here at the Barcaldine Castle. Our bedroom extended into the top turret on the left.
This was the stairway to our rooms on the 2nd and 3 floors. Tam and I were on the third floor.
The experience call for some serious drinking. First the whiskey and then the wine.
Tom ordered this wine from Australia.

This rock formation is called the "Old Man of Storr" Took some imagination to come up with that description.
The hike leading up to the tower was much more than we wanted to tackle.

We were told of waterfalls dropping into the sea north of the Storr. Se we kept our eyes open for any turnout which might lead us to one
Tom found it but it was nothing compared to what we saw in Iceland.

A cemetery near the village
Duisdale House, our hotel for the two nights we stayed on the Isle of Skye. Food was good and the bar well stocked.

Above the door is a Gaelic inscription which in translation reads: "As long as there is a Macrae inside, there will never be a Fraser outside", referring to a bond of kinship between the two clans.

We visited the Glen Ord Distillery near Inverness. It's part of the Diageo Scotland conglomerate which 34 distilleries including Dalwhinnie
These stacks are indicative of a distillery below them.
Inverness - At first we thought this was a church but it turned out to be a funeral home
We were fascinated with all the chimneys - most were believed to be vents for the sewer lines.
