Yellowstone-2015

I had so much fun visiting Yellowstone last winter that I decided to do it again this year. There wasn't as much snow as last year and the temperatures were definitely milder. On the drive from Bozeman to Yellowstone, we saw these Big Horn sheep along the side of the road.

As you can see here, there really isn't much snow considering it's February.

We had stopped at the Chocolate Pot when these bison approached us.

These guys were in front of us. All of a sudden the Bison behind us started charging and we took to the stairs and safety of our vehicle.

The warm weather has caused some bears to come out of hibernation. This one along the Yellowstone river was about 1,000 feet away and feeding on a carcass.

The next sequence of shots show this fox listening for rodent movement below the snow pack and then leaping in the air and diving to try and get his prey.

The fox was about 1,000 feet away. Didn't have a large enough lens to capture it more clearly.
