As the film festival was a distance from the shuttle terminal, we decided to take a bus. Lido is the only island in Venice where cars are allowed. We didn't realize how delightful it was to wander the streets and alleys without dealing with the congestion and noise of the cars. Janet was glad to be on 'terra-firma" .
