Dubrovnik's clock tower was originally built in 15th century and rebuilt in 1929 to prevent it from falling over. The clock features Roman numerals for the hour and arabic numerals for the minutes, just like the clock in St Mark's square in Venice. I have yet to find an explanation as to why the use of two different numeral families.
